Personally, I’m not a big user of master password keepers and such programs. More specifically, I never use them. Not for browsers, or websites, or programs, or anything. Other than setting up the initial database, you don’t really have to do anything.
And you might not even need to do any initial setup. If you do a lot of password storage in other browsers and password managers, then you can use the Import Wizard and it will do all the hard work for you.
Here’s my current setup for web accounts. Sticky Password worked flawlessly for each of those listed sites. Since taking that screenshot, I’ve added more websites without much issue. But this is more than just a storage database for login credentials.
For each web account, you’ll be able to choose certain options: default browser to use when launching from within Sticky Password, how specific of a target the given link should be, whether to log in automatically, and whether you want to generate a new password (if you find that your password is too weak based on the given password strength indicator).
App accounts are the computer program version of web accounts. When you install Sticky Password, it will scan your system for all available programs. It will then present you the option of setting up credentials for those programs.
The one downside of the app accounts is that the list of supported applications is pretty short. And as far as I’ve tried, you can’t add custom programs as Sticky Password Pro 6 won’t detect them.
At first glance, there may seem to be a lot of options that can be changed in Sticky Password. But on closer inspection, I found that a lot of the options are shallow and cursory. Still, you’ll be able to customize it a little bit in terms of hotkeys, database encryption type, which browsers are supported, and a number of other miscellaneous things.
All in all, Sticky Password Pro 6 does what you’d expect it to do. As a master password manager, it does its job rather well. The interface is very simple and intuitive, which is a good thing for a program like this. You won’t be tripping over a poorly designed layout, that’s for sure.
